Sky Slot for DC’s Legends of Tomorrow

LONDON: The superhero drama DC's Legends of Tomorrow is headed to the U.K., scoring a slot on Sky 1 in 2016.

The show will make its official debut in the U.S. on The CW in January. It is based on the iconic DC Comics characters drawn from the same universe as The Flash and Arrow. Sky 1 recently launched Supergirl to much success, following in the footsteps of The Flash and Arrow.

Adam MacDonald, the director of Sky 1, commented: “Hot on the heels of the amazing success of Supergirl, I’m really pleased to announce that another exciting comic-book drama is coming to the channel. From the team behind our three best-loved superhero shows and with a great high-profile cast, there’s real pedigree behind DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. And it’s set in the same world as The Flash and Arrow, too, so it couldn’t be more suited to Sky 1. Our customers are going to love it.”
